Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

DOCTOR Susan Roberts, has weighed in on the Flag Burning Amendment.  In it she opines:

It seems unlikely that the Supreme Court would now uphold an amendment prohibiting flag burning, even with the change in the court's composition.

As the article notes, Dr. Roberts is:

Dr. Susan Roberts is associate professor of political science at Davidson College.

Political science?  She is teaching kids about the Politics of America and she is so woefully ignorant of how the American Government works?

I would have been embarrassed to have my name associated with something so blindly stupid in a field I supposedly got a PhD in.  And even more so, I would have been supremely embarrassed to he the editor who allowed this gross error to pass my desk at that newspaper!

For the record Dr. Roberts, The supreme court does not rule on the Constitutionality of Amendments to the Constitution!  Since by definition, the amendments become a part of the Constitution!

Makes me really wonder about the education those kids are getting at Davidson.  They should demand a refund.

Heh.

I can see it now: "We, the Supreme Court, hold that the constitution is unconstitutional. Also, numbers are not numerical, emotions are not emotional, and gravity is not gravitational."

Terry Holland, long time Basketball coach at UVA (when Sampson was there) hailed from Davidson, and left UVA for the AD job there.  So it was a good one once.
