Ok, so it is not a SUPER BIG record, but it is one held by the NY Yankees!  Yes, the Mets today set a record for winning the most games in a row on the road by scoring in the First inning!

And they right now have the best record in Baseball.  And they have a 9.5 game lead over the second place team in their division!  And yes, this is my second article on the Mets!  But visions of 69 dance in my head! (and 86 - Sorry Bosox Bozos!).

9-1 on a Road Trip!  Now that is impressive in and of itself!  We wont mention the fact that there were more Met Fans in Philly than Philly fans (but I hope they all got some Cheesesteaks at Geno's!).

I am into baseball this year!  Like none since 00! (hey!  We made the Series!).  Bring on the Hated Yankees!  We are ready and loaded for bear!  The only good Yankee is a a dead Yankee!

Wait.  I mean the team not our northern friends who have yet to find out about southern hospitality.

Like the White Sox is the "other team" in Chicago the Mets are the "other team" in New York. But hey the White Sox did win it all last year so maybe .....

You know, Doc, it looks more and more like the Mets are finally going to win it all after years of disappointment. I think they have what it takes this year to give their fans what they haven't seen in a long long time.

No, I'm not talking a World Series I'm talking about a Division title.

I hope you didn't think I was talking about a World Championship. Come on, Doc they may finally get by the Atlanta Braves to win the East but do you think they can get by ... umm ... aahh .. let's see there's the ... aahh .. ummm .. damn who is good in the National League??? On second thought maybe the Mets DO have a chance to win the pennant.

Any time ANYONE takes ANY record from the Yankees, it is cause for celebration. The Yankees are the debbil!
