Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

Ted Matthews, aka Tim Kaine, governor of Virginia, broke his first campaign promise in a record 6 days.  A record that will last many years I am sure.  With over 3 1/2 years to go, Ted Matthews is well on his way to breaking every promise he made during the Governor's race as he once again decided that his faith was more important than the law, after promising to uphold the law.

Which does beg the question of how good his faith is (apparently it is selective as well since he supports the murder of innocent children, just not convicted murderers).  I suspect he and Al Zarqawi can reminisce together if his faith is as good as his promises.

Oh, by the Way Ted?  Lying is a sin as well.  So is breaking a promise.  But don't worry.  I doubt you believe in anything but your own self - stupid as it is.

do you remember the time when a man was known for his word? A handshake was all that was needed to confirm a deal. Sad to say it's not as common anymore. Remember this (I'm sure you will) the next time his name comes up to vote.

I must have missed that day in sunday school, because I don't remember that.

Then just "maybe" you should go back to sunday school.

"Thou shall not swear falsely by the name of the LORD..."
This commandment is to never take the name of God in a vain, pointless or insincere oath (Rashi). This includes four types of prohibited oaths: an oath affirming as true a matter one knows to be false, (which would mean lying!}an oath that affirms the patently obvious, an oath denying the truth of a matter one knows to be true, and an oath to perform an act that is beyond one's capabilities

The way he is going, this will be the last time his name comes up for a vote.

ooooohhhhh that bad huha? I've got land in VA but don't live there so I haven't paid much attention to your new gov.

in Ecc it says it's better not to make a vow than to make it and not keep it. So I guess it depends on if the SS teacher covered that or not as to if you were taught this or not

Saw the article about this in today's Wash. Times. Nice to see that Mr. "I'll uphold the law and apply the death penalty" turned his back on that promise so quick and then uses lame excuses to try to cover.

That clown never should have won the election, but then again Kilgore didn't run the best of campaigns.

Either way, it's a damn shame that Kaine doesn't have to face re-election thanks to those quirky Virginia term limits on the governor rules. I'd love to see his feet held to the fire for this crap, but he'll never really have to face that music.

Since when do politicians ever keep their word?

At the rate he is going, he is going to single handedly drop Virgina from a top 10 state to a bottom 5 one.

The backlash is already started.  His defendeers are getting fewer and fewer.  If he keeps it up, we may just follow California and recall his sorry butt.

Usually they are at least not as blatant about breaking it.
