With thanks to Adventure Dude who showed me that I have been doing things all wrong, I bring you the latest News.

Stay away from me!

Yes, my Doctor has me on a low Cholesterol diet.  WHat does that mean?  If it tastes good and does not swim, it is off limits!  No Pasta Alfredo!  No Fried Chicken, no prime rib (we went to Outback over the weekend and I order the Tilapia!), no butter, no cheese, no eggs! (I dream of eggs!), no sausage, no fun!

for the last month+, I have been eating carrots, oranges and apples till I am leafing!  And I have read up on Cholesterol (I just did not see the note about garlic).  If it is a plant, eat it.  But not the oily ones (unsaturated fats are fine, saturated fats are a no no).  If it walks, crawls, or has a shell, dont eat it!

Fish have Cholesterol too, just not much.  So since I need SOME protein, that is all the meat I am eating (besides skinless chicken - the second best meat for cholesterol - tastes like paper!).

But now, thanks again to Adventure Dude, I know I can steam some vegies with ......... Garlic!  So I just called my wife and told her, crank up the garlic!  I am a garlic fiend!

I can finally have food with flavor again!  Garlic Flavor!  Garlic Fish!  Garlic Carrots! Garlic Oranges and Apples!  Garlic Rice!  Garlic!

So JU beware!  Mr. Stinky is in the house!  I may even change my name to Dr. Garlic!  It has a nice ring!

Hurray for heart care!

Hurray for garlic,  if it's far,  far away!

I love the smell of garlic bread, french bread lathered up with real butter and garlic,  however that's about it!

Glad you're taking care of the ticker*********************VBS***********

HAHAHA.

Well I dunno what to tell you.  My mom's family all have cholesterol.  They take a statin drug and then eat whatever the heck they want to eat.  And so far so good...and some are hitting their 70's.

Also homemade salsa is really yummy on steamed veggies.  I grow tomatoes in the summer, then make fresh salsa (just add spices) and freeze the salsa.  Then I use it on eggs and meat and yes VEGETABLES...it really spices them up and makes them yummy.

Good luck.....

No, but you can put some in it!
It's slightly different to butter but much better than margerine or anything else tastewise. It's non-hydrogenated, no trans, low sat (bad ) but it is definitely worth checking out. This is what I eat. It's in your local grocery store where the tub o butters are.

I know, was just pulling your leg.  My wife uses it. But since I had to give up butter, I gave it all up.  Besides, I dont really eat it except in sauces that have other bad things!

But maybe some whole wheat Garlic bread with the Smart Balance......hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
