Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

On the heels of Tova7's outstanding article, we now get a dose of religion in politics.  Is it from Jerry Falwell - Nooooo!

Is it from Pat Robertson?  Nooooooo!

It is from a liberal democrat that has decided that religion is ok in politics - as long as it is the right politics.

Apparently John Podesta has decided that Global Warming is no longer a secular thing:

"At its core, it's an ethical, moral and religious issue,"

So now God has decreed.  I wonder if he has decreed to Podesta like he decreed to Robertson when he wished, excuse me, prayed, Gloria away?

Sorry if I excuse myself for a minute to retch.  As I find this pharisee to be worse than any that Jesus ever encountered.

This is ridiculous. If only global warming was the proven fact we're all being fed that it is . . .

But it's not proven at all! Geez. I guess you've gotta have some sort of cause to throw bullshit at others for, right?

No, just dont speak with a forked tongue.  Accept it or not.  Dont use it and abuse it.

Podesta told U.S. News about the Sunday night show which he never missed. "When the show about the aliens comes on," said Podesta, "I get glued to the tube and try and figure out which government agencies to call to determine if the show’s story is real or not." U.S. News further reported that Podesta had even mailed one of the show characters, FBI agent Dana Scully."

True enough. I'm just scared that people use global warming as an excuse to raise money for other things and get their own agendas across . . .

Curse that Chrichton book, State of Fear, for making me this way.

So Bush gets his agenda from the conservative Christians, and Clinton got it from Aliens?

even though your determination is fataly flawed by the fact it's based on hearsay testimony, i can't help but point out you seem to be engaging in exactly the kinda phariseeic hubris jesus allegedly found so distasteful.

Hmm, the sources do not think it is hearsay.  And the princinpal is not denying it.  and you are the only one that wants to call it phariseeic.

i wasn't referring to the linked article nor to podesta (even tho it is hearsay whether or not he denies it).

so are the gospels' accounts of those pharisees jesus encountered as well as his reported disapproval of their self-congratulatory claims to moral superiority and judgemental condemnation of anyone with whom they disagreed.

apparently it went right over your righteous lil head.

sorta like 'a voice of one person crying out in the wilderness'?

My head may be little, but yours seems to be smaller.  As you see, the theme is not what you want it to be (and you are welcome to try to come up with a lame excuse). But the hypocrisy.  Like the Pharasees.  Pointing them out is not pharaseeitic as you claim.  It is simply calling a spade a spade!

But OH! I forgot!  Your phrasitic religion does not allow you to!  Sorry.  Perhaps you may be able to debate on a topic you are not wallowing in?

Little head?  Someone needs a bigger mirror before casting such lame aspersions.

Or deliberately misspelling it.

actually i believe he recently declared he wouldn't be able to support rudy guliani candidacy should rudy decide to run for the presidency.

which means--as john mccain knows all too well--rudy ain't gonna be nominated. if i were you, i'd be much more concerned about falwell's power over the republican party than podesta's opinion about anything.
