Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

I am not a golfer.  I have never played the game (Putt Putt does not count).  Watching golf was like watching paint dry to me!

Until Tiger Woods came along.  He brought excitement to a dull sport and put a smile on it.  He is a great golfer.  And he says he is a great person because of his father, Earl Woods.

Earl Woods died today.  And Tiger mourns the loss of his best friend.  And I, and most of the world, mourn one of the great teachers and fathers of all time.  No brag, the proof is in the son.  In an age when so many sports super stars are downright assholes, Tiger remains one who enjoys what he does because it is his love, not for the money.  And no one is embarrassed to look up to Tiger as a real role model.

And we are all richer for a role model like him.  And for Earl making him the man he is today.

RIP Earl.  You did great.

Like you,  I'm not a golfer nor played the game.  I have watched Tiger play a few times though.

I'm sorry for his tremendous loss!  losing a beloved parent is so heartbreaking..........

I hope he mends in due time...although we each recover in our own time...no set time limit on healing for this kind of hurt....

I know he will.  His father made sure of that.  I was just acknowledging the fact that he gave us a great son.  I wish I was as good as Earl.
