Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

Last year, I ate crow and kept quiet.  Why?  The Upstart Nationals, the newest team in baseball was going gung-ho!  They were looking good and doing well.  And my team?  Sucking pig juice as usual.  And so I took some ribbing from the DC JU crowd.  Although the Nationals did not go anywhere, they did do a very respectable showing for their fans.  In time, they may be a real contender.

But not this year!

No, with the month of April down, the Mets are showing that all that money is paying off!  I dared not crow over the first couple of weeks.  The Mets have been a team that likes to streak.  And in a way, it was a streak.  That could not and did not last.  But they are still HOT!  Taking 2 of 3 from those b-tards Braves and Owning the Nationals, they are in first by 6 games!

And they won their first in May as well!  I only regret that Chiprj did not do the fantasy league again this year!  My heart would have been more in it, instead of crying into my beer about another wasted Mets season!

Am I going to dig on the National fans after last year?  Nah!  They are a decent team.  But if there are any Braves fans out there - EAT IT TURKEYS!

WOO WOO!

I hope your Mets can keep it going this year. As I've said previously, I don't think the Nats have it in them this season. Too many questions about pitching, and not enough strong hitting to really do much in their own home park with it's extra spacious power alleys. (They really should have moved in those darned fences in the off season or at least corrected the measurements!).

I'm incredibly tired of the Braves and their consistent just better than mediocrity. It's time to crap or get off the pot. They've won the division how many times and have how many rings to show for it? Time to move aside and let in some new blood.

I fear that the Braves will hang around in wind up a wild card team, but I hope that the Mets can keep them down and take the division crown.

Please do give a swift kick to the rear of Cliff Floyd though and get him going. If he does get it going, perhaps others in the line-up would benefit (including David Wright, who started off very hot, but has cooled a bit lately as Floyd has slumped behind him and helped take away some of his protection in the line-up).

Interesting bit of trivia.  All the Met's farm teams have the exact same measurement as Shea Stadium.  So the hitters and pitchers can get use to the Majors dimensions before getting there.
