Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

Last week, Walter E. Williams penned an editorial that blasted leading democrats and many so called black leaders.  His whole premise was that democrats had to perpetuate the Black Grievances in order to maintain their hold on power.  And he is right.  And while Dr. Williams is a very eloquent speaker and writer, the tone of his editorial is that instead of energizing their 'base' as has happened in the past, when Hillary Clinton or John Kerry get up and start talking about "you poor trod upon people, I know what you have been through" they are pissing off more and more blacks who not only yell "No the Hell you dont!", but also are saying "Cant we move on?"

The only reason that democrats have remained competitive on a national scale is because of the near monolithic support of the black voters.  One they treat as a single mind with single issues, and also treat with utter contempt.  And while the black leaders who have bought a seat at the democrat power table will continue to pander to these same clichés as Hillary and Kerry, they are slowly losing their monolithic grip to bring these votes to the table year after year.  And they know it.  That is why they have to vilify blacks who shun their malady of grievance for triumphs based upon merit and talent.

Today, we have blacks running for major office from both parties.  But it is easier for a black republican to win a major office than a black Democrat.  Why?  because the message the republican brings is one of empowerment and a demonstration that the past is the past and does not dictate what is possible to accomplish in the future.  And that message is scaring the democrat leadership to death.  For if it takes hold, it will break their hold on a constituency they have taken for granted.  And force them to start coming up with real ideas and plans in order to recapture the majority of America they have ignored, neglected or just plain held in contempt.

Will they realize that the leading Blacks have already realized?  That their hold on power is slowly slipping away?  I doubt the current leaders will.  Perhaps there are some waiting in the wings who will be the new leaders who will see the destruction to their party that the old guard has wrought and bring about the necessary change.  Perhaps, but I am not betting money on it just yet.

if we could eliminate jesse jaackson, al sharpton, charlie wrangle, louis farrakan from the national scene, there would be much more peace and understanding between the black and white races.

All these four do is divide.

As much as I dislike most of these people, I have to admit that they at least have more on the ball than do the Hillarys and Kerrys of the world.  They see their power base starting to erode, and that is why they are lashing out so strongly with so many overt racial epithets against Blackwell, Swann and Steele.

I sat and watched most of Tavis Smiley's 2005 State of the Black Union on CSpan a while back. He had about every black figurehead you could imagine, though notably absent was jesse jackson. There was even a Republican, believe it or not.

What troubled me the most was the person who I agreed with most often was, well, Louis Farrakhan. I guess I should say that I didn't always AGREE per se, but his perspective made more sense than about anyone else's. Maybe I'm slipping.

When he is not spouting racist rhetoric, his message is one of Triumph for Blacks.  Telling them they can do just about anything they want.  His message is positive.  It is the racist crap that tunrs off most people, except his disciples.

That their hold on power is slowly slipping away? I don't think Obama thinks so.
Perhaps there are some waiting in the wings Reverberations of Malcolm X. Raise the fist of black power!
Good article, though.
