Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

Our illustrious (?) governor is at it again.  Now, for the second time in his short tenure he is threatening the republican legislature because he did not get his way (the first time, he retracted the threat and said he was just kidding):

“When I have that open hand extended and they reject it, I don't think they're going to like the outcome, and I think they'll come to regret it."

Yes, our very own Ted Matthews has decided that he is going to make them nasty Wepublicans pay for doing what they are constitutionally allowed to do.  Veto Governor's appointments.  In the latest case, the offending nominee would have been in charge of all the political appointments, and other, mostly fluff duties as the Secretary of the Commonwealth.  But the nominee, Daniel LeBlanc, a former head of the state AFL-CIO, and an avowed opponent of the Commonwealth's right to work laws was unpalatable to the General Assembly, so the Republicans killed his nomination.

So let's see what this Ted Matthews has accomplished in his first 47 days as the governor.  Proposed a $4 billion tax increase on top of a tax increase passed 2 years ago that now results in a billion dollar annual surplus.  Threatened the Wascally Republicans twice (the first time for not passing his tax increase).  Nominated a man who even most of the democrats cannot stomach as being too liberal for the state of Virginia.

What else?  Ummm...... Nothing!  So, given that he is not smart enough to be known as an intelligent governor, not good enough to be known as a good governor (Worst is still very much in the running), I guess he wants to be known as the most belligerent governor!

I'll give him that.  It does not take brains to make empty threats and insert foot into mouth.

Kaine says, “The fact that the House would take this action suggests a lack of respect for the governor, lack of respect for the Senate [and] a trashing of a very good person, Danny LeBlanc, who has worked 30 years to help working people."

I would not say it was a lack of respect Ted, just utter contempt.
