Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
Liberal definitions are beyond my Knowledge!
Published on January 31, 2005 By Dr Guy In Politics

President Bush has not even made his State of the Union Speech yet, and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are already telling him 'Dont go there'.  And this is supposed to be working with him? How?

This is not even partisan as he has yet to tell them exactly what he wants, yet they have already decided they are NOT going to work with him.  And liberals call him a divider?  It seems the only dividers are the buffoons on the left that still dont get it....They LOST the election!

I am glad none of those clowns represent me.  I would be sadly embarrased if that was so, even if I did not vote for them.  I can only feel sorry for the people of Nevada.  Pelosi's constituency is teh SF area, so they probably deserve her.

It's actually very simple, to the Congressional Liberals words like "bipartisan", "working together" and "cooperation" all mean the same thing: Give up your own ideals and think like we do, and we'll consider you a friend.

Of course, the terms, "reached an agreement", "comprimise" and "open minded" all mean that also, but that goes far beyond the confines of Congressional liberals.

No he hasn't made his state of the union address but he has outlined what he wants to accomplish and how he intends on doing it. As for calling him a divider, if you haven't noticed most democrats use thes words while they speek of him, "I hate" hate being the key word, these aren't just left wing "loonies" either. Dems. will work with the President if he A) proposes something that would be truly an American idea, not a concervitive or "I am the President" idea. As for they lost the election, as much as I hate to break it to you, but that doesn't mean Dems. or anyone who didn't vote for Bush should sit down and do everything they are told is right when facts say it is wrong.

No, but any intelligent person (which counts out most of the democrat leadership) would at least listen first before trashing.  And instead of trashing, workwith him to mold the legislation to something they can live with.  Instead, they just proclaim it DOA.  No working with, no Compromise. No intelligence.

Exactly!  You get an insightful for that one, even if it is patently obvious!

More democratic party definition time!!!

We will work with the president, what they really mean, ONLY IF WE PUT A specific bill or proposition on the table, otherwise
Nope, not even going to listen to anything Bush or the american people have to say.

Oddly enough (having been in NV during Reid's campaign), Reid ran on the platform of being an "independent...like Nevada" (Nevada has a VERY strong Libertarian tendency among many of its citizens, and Reid's true party line Democrat mindset wouldn't play well as a campaign slogan).

He should heed the lesson of Daschle.  He might be next.

I had a comment, but then I wasn't sure if it was 100% true, so I deleted it...but you can't just delete, so I put a (.)

Very witty response by the way, I liked it!

I think you need to understand that conservative ideas are also American. I hope this was a miss-statement, because if you truly feel this way, maybe that's why the DNC membership is dropping so fast. There are more then just liberals living in this country. I know it's a hard concept to swallow after so many years as the larger party.

Oddly enough (having been in NV during Reid's campaign), Reid ran on the platform of being an "independent...like Nevada"

The grumbles are getting loud here in Nevada about him. Many Republicans and Moderates (me included) voted for him, believing that he would shift the DNC in a more moderate direction. A local newspaper reported that his in-state email have been over whelmed with protests. 5 to 1 negative letters. Personally think he has a snowballs chance of getting reelected, but he most likely don't intend to even run in six years at his age. Maybe that's why he came out of his shell after being in it for so long.

That's My Two Cents

My gosh, Reid & Pelosi are more dense than I ever imagined. All they want, and they don't give a rip about anything else, is ammunition to use against Bush later - by insisting that Bush do the impossible (predict the unpredictable). I'm getting close to really despising these people. If they're so frickin' concerned about the game plan for Iraq, they should be working quietly with the Administration to influence it positively instead of conducting this disgusting public grandstanding campaign. I hope it comes back to bite them big time. What cheap political hacks they have revealed themselves to be.

Cheers,

You are probably right.  So the voters of tNevada were duped, and the theif runs away in the middle of the night.  SOrry about that.  Like Boxer, they can have a coming out party in all their kookiness since they will not run again.
