Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

Yes, I, a father of 4, made a major mistake!  I bought a rerun!  I did not do it on purpose (the company shipped the wrong product).  And I did not even look.  It said what I thought it should say, and so I was content that my shopping was done!

But low, a star arose!  It was not Christ the lord!  It was my youngest son!  And while proudly showing him the ill gotten booty of his siblings, he noted "Dad, Alex has that one already!".  Looking aghast, I realized that indeed, I had the wrong thing!

Alas and alack, it is too late to order on line!  So in the morrow, I venture out into the savage tundra occupied by beasts more fearsome than any african Savanah!  Yea, though I go into the valley of death, I will fear no evil! for my other son's Christmas is at stake!  Nay, I will fear not, for I will be the worst animal in the forest!  A father looking for that last Christmas gift for a child!

Beware and be forewarned!

And thank god for little santas that look closer than old men!

Peace on Earth, and Merry Christmas to every one.

Happy Chunaka to MM, Mano and Larry!  And have some eggnog on me!

Ok,........ the solution? Buy one gift and wrap from Santa.....the rest? From Mom and Dad.

Everybody's happy.

P.S.

Don't forget the milk and cookies......

Exactly!

Our kids only get one or two things from Santa (besides the stocking stuff). We wrap the other stuff up and put it under the tree and then Santa brings the "most wanted" gifts and puts them out by the tree, unwrapped, while the kids are sleeping. We also fill those miniature stockings with candy and a small toy and put that in bed with the kids and they find those when they wake up.

I love your ideas. It's funny people do so many different "Santa" things in their household. It's a wonder the little ones don't get together and figure out that Santa does one thing in one house and something totally different in another.

I have a friend that wraps all her stocking stuffer giftsfor her kids in white tissue paper only. That's all Santa brings to their house. The other gifts come from her and her husband. Santa doesn't do the tree there.

Can you imagine if her kids talked to your kids? they could say...."Hey I didn't get anything under the tree from Santa."

I used to do the clothing articles from us and the toys from Santa. I had to be careful not to wrap with the same paper. My son found my paper roll one year in the closet used in wrapping the toys and the gig was up.

I think that is how most figure it out.  When they start talking to each other.
