Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
But I did not speak up, becuase I was not a gun

Now, in what can only be called a comedic opera, Physicians in England, where there is one of the strictest gun control laws on this planet, are calling for the banning of knives!  Yep, no more apple paring or steak eating.  The English want to ban knives.

A team from West Middlesex University Hospital said violent crime is on the increase--and kitchen knives are used in as many as half of all stabbings.

They argued many assaults are committed impulsively, prompted by alcohol and drugs, and a kitchen knife often makes an all too available weapon.

What next baseball bats? (Excuse me, Cricket Bats).  For all you gun control advocates. you have just met the enemy and he is you!

As any inmate can tell you, a knife is easy enough to MAKE...just watch an episode of "Oz".

With a little more difficulty, so can guns.

That's why I laugh at the whole "ban" of weapons thing. I doubt there isn't a home in the US that doesn't have the makings of a pretty hefty weapon of mass destruction. ;~D

Some of my neighbors do question my RPG, but them damn gophers are pesky critters!

I've been saying for ages that Britan has a nigher rate of stabbing and slashings because they don't have guns...so this didn't really come as a surprise to me.

When are people going to see that it's not necessarily the weapon you have to worry about, it's the person behind the weapon?! Take away guns, and people will use knives. Take away knives, and they'll find something else to use.

What's next, a ban on hands to reduce the amount of stranglings?

Good point, although it just might work. I wonder what the recitivism rate for thieves is in countries where they take a hand. ;~D

That will be interesting!  And with no hands, knives will be harder to use as well!

Good point!  Wish I had of thunk of it!

Not as high as unexecuted/non LWOP murderers I bet.
