Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
Breaking the law under our Nose

Ok, How many of you have actually listened to Air America? (Dabe, but both your hands down)

It is not easy to listen to it as it is on so few stations, but I have found a couple that Randi Rhodes and recently got to listen to Al "What Brain" Franken.

The former is a perky blond.  That is the only way to put it.  She has the IQ of a retarded Squid, but sounds sexy and is cute.  She could not win a debate if it was a soliloquy.  She is what most would call a harmless old coot if it were not for 2 things.  She is not old, and she is not male (coots are old males).

Al Franken on the other hand is a failed comic turned political Pundit.  he bases his show on Rush Limbaughs (which means if Rush retires, so does Franken, but he is not smart enough to understand that part).

And they are all tanking it bad.  So bad that they are resorting to gimicks to attrack an audience.  teh latest gimick?  Pretending to shoot the president.

Now check me if I am wrong, but I thought threats (and lining the president up in front of a gun and firing it sounds like one to me) against the president is a crime.  More so than me saying I am going to kill that sucker (insert jerk name here).

But now, instead of just being the jokes on DU.org and other mentally challenged sites, it appears that the liberal "who needs money anyway" network has picked up the insanity of the fringe.  No wonder that ultra liberals like Myrr and Dabe cannot carry on a rational discussion with out flaming everyone right of themselves.  WHo are their role models?  A bunch of mentally challenged law breakers?

I know I should ignore them, and I do for the most part.  however the rhetoric has gone from being rational to shrill to out right maniacal now.  And the next step is not just threatened violence I fear, but out right violence.

We are already starting to see some mild cases of it.  I fear if these loons do not get their emotions (beasts in the words of another blogger) under control, we are going to have a demonstration of what lemings do right here on America's shores.  And it wont be furry rodents marching to their death, but a bunch of extras from Night of the Living Dead.

just as a side thought "air america" in my day, was what the C.I.A. called its illegal heroin scheme to support there part in the vietnam war.. I think it only apprapo that the liberal left would choose this name for its radio bust.

That is either an unfortunate coincidence (doubtful) or just another indication of the lemming mentatlity that is leading them over the edge.

Air America was doomed from its inception. "Hey guys, not enough liberals are listening to talk radio shows... let's start a whole network!!!" ;~D

What gets me is, even with stacking the deck and only airing in the most liberal hotbeds in the country, it is still crashing and burning like Air Force One in a joust with a Stinger Missile!!

Let's hope the Air America doesn't get in trouble with the Feds for their "Shooting the President" bit. All that would do is bring undeserved attention to the network and add a few months of agony to the network that not even a feeding tube can save.

The feds are investigating.  A Secret Service official has stated that threatening the president is against the law.  AA is saying they will look into it.  Yea, right!  I doubt it.

The libs haven't got a prayer, and never have, of gaining and holding a listening audience the way a Limbaugh or an O'Reilly can. They've tried it.
Their main problem is that liberal journalists are so serious and pissy about the topics and issues that they're no fun to listen to or watch, so their only option was to turn to non-pundits and entertainers like Phil Donahue and Franken, Janeane Garofalo(!?) and that dizzy blonde you were referring to. At least she's attractive, though (but doesn't that go against the feminist rhetoric? Using a woman just for her looks?), if nothing else.
Air America will hit a mountain sooner or later.

Speaking of Limbaugh, I was listening to his show the other day, and he read an article from the LA Times saying that Out in Cali, naturally, Jerry Rubin (Chicago Seven) had started a support group for disheartened liberal activists. No kidding....they meet and discuss their dissatisfaction with society and the government, their lingering depression about the "stolen election of 2000 (still)", and other things that trouble them about the unpopularity of their cause. I think we're winning, guys.

--Ya know, for some of them your're..no "prayer" at all...

--BTW, I've heard that if you don't register either Republican or Democrat, you cannot vote in the general elections, at least i've heard of that being the way here in Oregon...WTF? Has anyone heard about that recently?

Depends on the state. Here in PA you can't register to vote without picking a party.

So your *friend* lives in PA?. And just an FYI....in PA, if they *never* recieved anything in the mail then the board of elections NEVER recieved their regisration. And since I live here Lucas AND having registered to vote in this state, I should know what I'm talking about.
Link Read the instructions carefully (Box 9. Political Party: Select a political party or no affiliation. You must register with a party if you want to take part in that party’s primary.)

Fill in completely, print out, sign and date the form. Place completed application in an envelope addressed to your local county voter registration office (addresses are available on the web: www.dos.state.pa.us) and affix the proper postage.

You are not registered to vote until your application has been processed and accepted by the county voter registration office. If accepted, the county voter registration office will send you, via nonforwardable mail, a Voter Identification Card. If you do not receive a Voter Identification Card within 14 days of the date you submit this application, contact your County voter registration office.

Then go look at line 9 on the form (link at bottom of page).
Nice try, now please try again.

Nope, not PA. OR...and i'm not saying you didn't know what you were talking about, i just thought maybe you didn't get my question.....also, I meant that they "apparently they never got it"... he had taken care of it months before...but he wasn't able to vote...and he had heard about the party thing [what i originally mentioned...if its true...ok,if it isn't....ok...]

Political party choices in voter registration: [Republican, Democratic, Constitution, Libertarian....] Thats it for here... Ironically it doesn't really matter how 8/10ths of the state votes,if the willamete county and multinomah, and one or two other counties vote demi, then that means entire state goes to demi's...here's a link from the recent election: Link

...Link

---The majority of the states that voted republican have voted republican nearly every election in the history of the state...its called the republican stronghold of oregon, then as the demi's grew and moved to the portland/eugene,etc...area...and became numerous...the stronghold began to weaken
