Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

Yes, that ego maniac of movies chickened out.  He likes to threaten people a lot (like shooting them down in the street and wanting to fight them), but when a challenge - BY HIM - to debate Global Warming was accepted by some skeptics, he first went through Orwellian contortions to change the rules (all changes were accepted) before pulling out at the very last minute!

It seems the blow hards (the real source of AGW) are good about denying all the access to the facts and information, and a good and honest debate.  I seem to recall that we do have a term for that.

Oh, yea - Super Chicken!  I think the "green" movement is dying like an un-watered lawn in summer.  They are turning yellow.

and I really have no desire to look at a computer after work is done.

Yea, moi aussi.  I may spend 10 minutes a night on the computer - reading personal emails.  But that is it.

My wife does an amazing job with them. She is ready for a break though. Tuesday wont come soon enough for her.

Your wife is a saint, but then you know that.  She may be looking for a "break", but she is going to be moody about them being gone for part of a day.  It is just natural.  In 14-15 years, she will be pushing them out of the house (to a college far, far away) .

What what?  That I avoid the computer after work?

Dr Guy

Quoting just john, reply 71Lucas-

I don't buy any of it. I pop in here from time to time and I rarely if ever log in so there is really no need to have a valid user ID to see anything important here.

You want people to believe that you have so many email addresses you can't try them all. You want to pretend that you can't remember your credentials. I call Shenanigans.

In your next iteration try not to lie right out of the gate. It will lend a load of credibility to your always professed 'I've changed/grown up/matured ... I swear this time' line.

Doc this was interesting. I am glad I caught this bit of news here because I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else I frequent.
Just John - it is always good to hear from you!  I know you are tied up with the little (not so little any longer, eh?) ones.  They do look adorable.  I think I saw part of a stuffed chest in one of the pics on your 30 fingers and toes site!

You're entitled to your opinion, as is every person. I call bullshit though. Again, an opinion, but I'm sure you'll deal with it.

You would be correct, if my intention was to deceive. It wasn't though. If nothing else, this highlights a few points: 1. I need to work on not being lazy. 2. Perhaps it was best to not even have come back and checked around. 3. I need to work on my temper. 4. I need to not have so many emails.

It's rather ironic though. Here I am, being honest and not hiding anything, and yet this. That's fine, I don't blame you for going with your assumptions given the crap I used to do. In fact, I totally understand, even if it does irk me.

But, I'm still going to be who I am now, not who I was. I'm going to continue being honest, and not hide anything. Perhaps I will be able to earn back some trust, who knows. Besides, this is the internet, and as I believe I mentioned, the people that truly matter to me - my friends, family and so on - know the type of man I am. They're the ones I have to live with.

Wish you and yours the best man.

Edit: You said to talk to IslandDog, right Doc?

Island dog is one of the head honchos here (along with Jafo) that appear to post frequently, so are probably easy to get in touch with and resolve a password issue.  I have not tried to use the help button that I have heard mentioned.

Sidebar: it would behoove you to quote the person you are arguing with, and not an unrelated comment.  My comment quoted by you had nothing to do with you, even though I did quote a comment by Just John that is probably the one you are responding to.

Alright, and thanks.

An interesting thesis.  I had just mentioned a portion of it (or come to the same conclusion on a part of it), yet the author brings all the parts together.  Indeed, the sky is falling, and we are all doomed.  Thanks for the link.

Edit:  I have just recently started reading this blog.  He links to the same article (on the second to last post as of this date).  His writing is very good, and I agree with many of his points.
