Of Courses! It's Swamp Time!

We had a red letter day on August 2, 2010.  But not one that many will celebrate as the damage done to people, and this country is not something that will be celebrated by true Americans.

First up, we do have a celebration.  The Commonwealth of Virginia just locked arms with the State of Arizona in standing up for its citizens.  Something the federal government refuses to do, and indeed as will be shown, has decided that the rights of citizens are secondary to the new world order.  The Commonwealth AG, a man affectionately known as "the Cooch", Ken Cuccinelli, issued a legal opinion (they do that from time to time) that yes, Virginia, Police officers have the right - and duty - to check on the immigration status of anyone arrested for a crime.  No, Virginia did not pass a new law.  He based his ruling on existing law.

A little too late however for Sister Denise Mosier

Now I am sure some out there are celebrating her death and the critical wounding of 2 of her fellow sisters as they are hate mongers after all (Catholic Nuns).  But for many law abiding LEGAL citizens of the Commonwealth, it is a travesty and underscores the malfeasance and incompetence of the worst administration on this nation in the last 100 years.  For the perpetrator was no ordinary felon.  He was a twice convicted drunk driver, who had already been arrested by County Police and turned over to ICE for deportation as an illegal immigrant.  They let him drive away pending their finishing of their coffee break.  So not satisfied with just going for a drunken joy ride, he decided to add to his total of mayhem and "law abiding" activities (do not believe me?  just ask Eric Holder and his parrots!) by killing.  Alas, for the anti-Constitutionalist among us, he did not use a gun! (But I am sure if we had banned them, he could not have killed, right?)  He used a car.

Here the cricket's chirping?  That is the sound of the Anti-Constitutionalist demanding that all cars be banned because they kill.  Of course the car was on autopilot and driving itself.  People do not kill people, objects of derision do.

Which brings us to our final entry of the day - the theme song of the anti-constituionalist, Hy-Poc-Risy! Let's all do the college cheer for the latest denizen of the swamp, Maxine (Swamp) Waters!  Yes, our lovely toady of the left is outraged!  Outraged that the House of Pelosi Swamp Creatures would DARE to enforce the rules of the body that she felt a need to stand in the well of the cess pool and condemn a fellow member of a mere 15 years ago.  Outraged!  And why?  Because she sold her influence to the highest bidder.  But her motives were pure! (If her ill gotten booty was not).

So what have we learned today?  This administration cannot stand the rule of law, loves felons and can't seem to obey the law.  I guess that is why they love felons.  You know, birds of a feather and all.

I guess we have found the true constituency of the democrat party.  Felons (they did elect Franken after all).  The only thing dirtier than a convicted felon is a party celebrated, sitting democrat.

Hear the crickets chirping?  That is the liberals denying any of this.  They are all at the party of Rangel celebrating what he almost got away with (and may yet).

Nitro Cruiser

I ask because I am trying to figure out how far Ft. Lauderdale is from Vero Beach.
About a 100 miles north of Lauderdale... which is itself barely north of Miami.

Thanks.  I knew about the Miami leg, but the google maps did not have a scale.  My Wife and I are going to fly into Ft. Lauderdale this fall and then drive up to visit my mother.  I was wondering how long it would take as Florida is a LONG if narrow state.

and I'm at least 4 hours from Miami.  Have never been there yet and by the sounds of the news not so sure I want to go.

I have been to Miami - not a lot to talk about.  I really want to go to the Keys someday however.

Be careful with speeding when driving thru West Palm Beach between Vero and Lauderdale. Cops like to stand in the inside shoulder look for speeders. The turnpike may be your best bet as there is usually less traffic on it even though it has less lanes. It's about an hour drive from Ft Lauderdale to Vero Beach.

As for the article, this will get better when more and more states start joining together to fight this Administration. With the whole "taxing the states or not based on whether it's red or blue" will be what breaks the camels back.

So far, most of the states (and it is a majority) are doing their own thing, but they are going against the administration.  Given that most are being run by democrats, that is still saying a lot.  Should they ever get together, that will cut the legs out of King Louie and Marie Antoinette real fast!
