Who's the Real Racist Here?
Published on August 6, 2008 By Dr Guy In Democrat

It seems the lunatic fringe of the democrat party has infiltrated the mainstream of the party.  NOw it is not good enough to demonstarate against people you dont like, you have to stalk them and their children!  Yes, Miek Gravel, lunatic extraordinaire, was caught on tape advocating just that.  And for what?  For a prosecutor who put away a terrorist!

“Find out where he lives, find out where his kids go to school, find out where his office is, picket him all the time,” Gravel said

“Call him a racist in signs if you see him. Call him an injustice. Call him whatever you want to call him, but in his face all the time.”

And who is this "sainted" person who was persecuted - err I mean prosecuted?

Al-Arian is a former Florida professor who in 2006 pleaded guilty to providing goods and services to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Nice guy, eh?  Seems that Gravel is using another democrat tactic.  Accusing your opponent of your sin.  It is clear that at least in actions, Al-Arian is an anti-semite.  A racist.  And he claims that the prosecutor is?  It looks like perhaps Gravel is, not Gordon Kromberg.

Why do mainstream democrats tolerate these idiots?  Why do they succor racists and bigots just because they sit on the same side of the aisle?  Birds of a feather applies here.  You are known by the company you keep, and that is a big reason I could never be a democrat.

Only seems that way--too many lawyers who'll take any case for fame and fortune. As long as Al-Arian is barred from teaching that's a plus.

Good point! I had not thought of that, but that does make sense. Unlike some, I dont hate lawyers, but I do see them as they are. Amoral beings. As such, it is not a question of doing right and wrong, they simply do not acknowledge right and wrong. Only winning and losing.

You know the Liberals aren't the fringe of what the Democratic party is. They are actually the mainstream. They have been since the 1912 election shifted them toward Progressivism and later Liberalism from their former Conservative stance (the Republicans likewise shifted from Progressive as they had been since Lincoln and into the TR era, to Conservative).

If you don't think so

A) You don't pay very close attention

B)You don't know what Liberalism actually is and only think its a dirty word that the Conservatives have tried very hard to make it, or you are afraid to use the term if you are yourself a Democrat.

C)You might be a bit slow

Its not really a fringe. The Democrats are Liberal in a wide range from left of center to left, but they are Liberal. And they only suffer from mistranslated quotes and soundbites.

Or perhaps you are talking about a specific section of Liberals compared with the normal Liberals, in which case what I said is moot.

Biden isn't even a Liberal, he is a Libertarian, and is not even a Democrat anymore so that point is also moot.

BTW, this was meant as a mass "you". A "you all". Not as a target at the thread starter. And I would certainly never call a specific person "slow" or do so without it being simply a nonperson specific joke.

1. This was not about Biden, but Gravel (since corrected by Larry as to party affiliation).

2. The use of liberal and conservative are not qualified by funk and wagnalls but by their generally accepted usage as applied to the political parties of today (and one thing I cant stand is an article that is half taken up by qualifications).

3. Best to not start out insulting others until you have earned the right to with reasoned and well stated discourse.

4. Disregard the previous statement after reading your qualifier.
