5 Embarrassing moments, eh.  I wish I could be as amusing as Locamama.  But mine are just normal things kids do and then go "oops" afterwards.

1. We use to live in the hills east of San Diego.  That's all there was really, just hills.  Very little flat space.  So our house was built on a plateau on a hill.  Hill below the house, and a hill above it.  All the guys would always 'gallop' down the hill, like they were riding a horse.  So I decided I was going to do it as well.  So I got on my 'horse' and started down the hill.  That is the last I remember until finding myself sitting on our couch.  Apparently my horse had thrown me and I got a concussion.  I was very embarrassed that I could not do what all my friends could.

2. When I was really young, I was sent to a summer camp for a day.  One of the activities was Horse back riding.  Basically we sat on the horse and the counselor would lead the horse around the ring.  We were give a branch to "whip the horse with".  As I had never seen a horse, much less ridden one, when it came my turn, I used the branch to whip the horse.  ON its mane!  When I saw how the other kid were doing it, I felt very stupid.

3.When I was in 7th grade, I liked an older girl.  She was in 8th grade.  She was nice, but said she was not interested in me.  I was crushed. (she said it kindly, but Male ego you know).  A couple of days later, a 7th grade girl decided she liked me.  My ego was restored.  But she also decided to defend my honor, so one day we were walking and the 8th grade girl was out, and my 'new girl' decided to have at her!  First girl fight I have ever seen!  I was so embarrassed, I ran home and hid inside.  When my mother asked what was going on.  I told her, and said I was embarrassed to see 2 girls fighting over me.  She just laughed.

4. Back to the hills.  This time we were riding bikes.  Like I said, you did not ride on an even surface.  You struggled up hills, and then soared down hills.  Well, we were soaring down one hill and coming to a busy road.  So I tried to slow down and turn into a gas station.  I wiped out in front of all my friends!  My pride was seriously wounded, but I walked away with only some raspberries.

5.  School pageant at Christmas time (we could still call it that in those days).  I was to make a speech on the history of the Menorah, holding one up as I went over the parts.  The first go round, with just the other kids there, I was flawless.  Then the afternoon version came - with the parents!  I froze up.  I manged to stutter my way through the speech, but the menorah was never raised!  It was then I knew I would never be a public speaker!

And now for a foreign flair, I tag Island Gurl, Dynamaso, and my Domestic pick, Parated.

I wish!  The 7th grade girl was a rebound.  But the 8th grade girl?  I still have a place in my heart!

Ah, now I get it... I have been tagged to give up my most embarrassing moments. Hmm, this is gonna take a little bit, but I will give them up

There's just something about those older woman. I guess it's all the sophistication an eighth grader has. It just makes the seventh graders seem like babies. ha ha. Girl fight was my favorite one.

~Sophistication? Wait, let me think 'bout that. I don't remember that being in my vocabulary during 8th grade. LOL

They dont have to be the most embarassing.  I left out my poop story after all.

Yeah. Rebound?Do explain, I've never dated.

When the spirit is crushed, one is vunerable to some TLC.  And the 7th grade girl took pitty on the poor crushed spirit and said she liked me!

Ah yes!  The sophistication of older women!

As for the fight, I was just so embarrassed to see women pulling hair, scratching and biting because of me.

Yup yup. I liked the girl fight one too.

Who won?

Um, sounds like you might have a problem riding things, imaginary horses, real horses and bicycles.

Better stay away from the motorcycles.....
