Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

JU is acting Hinky today {GASP} .  Yes it is true.  Many have been posting 2, 3 or more times because they get an error when posting an article.  It happens, it has happened before, and probably will again.

Just a suggestion for those not wanting the hassle of multiple articles saying the exact same thing.  When you get the error message, open a second browser window (leave the original one on the Article you are trying to post) and navigate to Joe User/Newest Articles.  If it is listed, just close the first window.

Make sure you open a new window.  This is for 2 reasons.  If the first window really did not post, you can always hit "submit" again (after hitting the back button).  Second, by opening a new window and navigating to the Newest article page, you ensure you will get a refresh of that page, and not a cached copy (which the latter could lead you to think it did not take the first time).

Just a trick of the trade I figured out after having to clean up several burps of my articles as well.

I did that, doc...but it took several minutes for my article to show up...and since I can't save to the hard drive, I published it three times before finally publishing it to a sister blog. I cleaned it up, though!

Yours is indeed a different situation, but your cross posting is another good idea for those who have more than one blog account.

I've started to get into the habit of writing, then 'edit: select all', then 'edit: copy' before clicking submit. When JU is hinky the article/reply usually does post to the forums even if you get a time out or some other error message, so I don't post again. I then just go to the forums to see if the article/reply is actually there. For the odd occasion when it might not be - well, I've already 'edit: select all', then 'edit: copy'ed, so it hasn't been lost.
