When will they Learn?
Published on June 6, 2011 By Dr Guy In Politics

You would think after being burned once that they would learn.  But then you would not know liberals.

Several months ago, Sarah Palin made a speech where she referred to an event that occurred 238 years ago.  The event was the Boston Tea Party.  And you heard the howls from the liberal pundits and wanna-bee intelligensia!  She did not even know the Boston Tea Party was in 1776!  Hahahaha

Problem was - Palin was right - and the ignoramuses on the left were the fools that did not know.

Now comes a new twist.  One that I was not even aware of, and that is that Paul Revere did admonish the British when captured.  And what she stated to a direct question by a ambush reporter, while very inelegant (but then we usually do not give flowery speeches when ambushed), was essentially true!  yet, the lamestream media, and the liberal pundits, jumped on her initially to try to show the world what a fool she was!  Problem is again, she was right, and they were wrong.  They are the ignorant buffoons, and it seems like Palin knows more about history - especially that of Paul Revere - than the buffoons on the evening news in his home state!

I think Palin is doing this on purpose,  She loves to tweak the noses of those who have a false sense of superiority.  At least that would explain why her detractors look so bad.  Of course it could be that her detractors do not need help to look bad.  In our society where everyone has to "win", I guess the losers are the ones that do not realize they are not really smart - just ignorant jerks being shown up by a simple country woman.

I think the biggest problem with these media morons is that they are in such a rush to smear that they can't be bothered to take the time to check their facts even though it would likely take less than 30 seconds with a good search engine.

They are like the kid eating the frosting off the cake.  When someone points out the cake, they deny its existence.  They are shallow, and that shallowness is what does them in.  If they did their job (you know, investigative reporting), they would not get snookered.  But it is easier to be lazy I guess.

That and they are just not smart enough to realize that there are others smarter than they are.

Doc, I know you do not like Obama (who does?) but do you actually think he understands much about well ... anything going on. Kind of a stretch to blame the idiot reading from the teleprompter don’t you think. My goodness what are we going to do...

I have a problem with circular logic, but it does seem that the dumber one actually is … the smarter one thinks they are, go figure? I guess that would be inverse logic I suppose, but still, isn’t life a bitch.

Um, while I am no fan of Obama, I do not like or dislike him - I just detest his policies (I do not know the man).  But I hardly see how my opinion of Obama is relative to this thread.

Many would agree that Obama has failed as a president. He now stands in direct violation of the US Constitution by using US toops and armed force in Libya. Congress alone has the right to deploy the Armed Forces beyond 60 days and has not that period ended.

The period ended 31 days ago.  However, there is a provision to extend it 30 days (for congressional debate).  That period ended Sunday.  So yes, he is in violation of the War Powers Act - but that is not part of the Constitution.  The act was passed so that a President could not free lance the military for extended periods of time without declaring war (like Vietnam was - the US was never officially at war with North Vietnam).  As long as the president does not declare war or have war declared upon us, then they can do anything with the military forces they want - until the War Powers act.  That was/is an attempt by congress to have a say in who the US military is firing at.  As such, Presidents maintain that it is in violation of the Constitutional clause of the President being the CIC.  SCOTUS is going to have to ultimately decide upon the act.  If they uphold it, then Presidential power is severely diminished (which I do not necessarily disagree with).  If it is ruled unconstitutional, then congress is going to have to go the amendment route.  Hard, but not impossible.
