I really hate when they do stuff like this. How many times do people just have to be "captivated" by a single trait in someone, that they feel the need to urge them on to run for office? How many times do we fall for the same thing, only to suffer "buyers remorse" afterward? I would hope Beck does nothing of the sort, nor do I believe he will. However, if history is a guide, the kool-aid flows both ways between the individual and the masses.

In my naive youth, I would have said "No way would he think of it", but then a commentary I heard on Rush Limbaugh made me realize that celebrities (of all persuasions) are surrounded by sycophants that only know how to stroke the ego of the central character.

I would hope not as well.  But I will not say "No way will he".
