Who's the Real Racist Here?
Published on August 6, 2008 By Dr Guy In Democrat

It seems the lunatic fringe of the democrat party has infiltrated the mainstream of the party.  NOw it is not good enough to demonstarate against people you dont like, you have to stalk them and their children!  Yes, Miek Gravel, lunatic extraordinaire, was caught on tape advocating just that.  And for what?  For a prosecutor who put away a terrorist!

“Find out where he lives, find out where his kids go to school, find out where his office is, picket him all the time,” Gravel said

“Call him a racist in signs if you see him. Call him an injustice. Call him whatever you want to call him, but in his face all the time.”

And who is this "sainted" person who was persecuted - err I mean prosecuted?

Al-Arian is a former Florida professor who in 2006 pleaded guilty to providing goods and services to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Nice guy, eh?  Seems that Gravel is using another democrat tactic.  Accusing your opponent of your sin.  It is clear that at least in actions, Al-Arian is an anti-semite.  A racist.  And he claims that the prosecutor is?  It looks like perhaps Gravel is, not Gordon Kromberg.

Why do mainstream democrats tolerate these idiots?  Why do they succor racists and bigots just because they sit on the same side of the aisle?  Birds of a feather applies here.  You are known by the company you keep, and that is a big reason I could never be a democrat.

Unbelievable.....well not really.  I'd really like to know why the left is so defensive of islamic terrorists.

I think its cause to them we are supposed to EMBRACE those that are diffrent then us..... even as the stab at us.  They want to commit cultural suicide IMO.

Mike Gravel hasn't been a Democrat since March of 2008 when he switched to the Libertarian Party. At that time, Senator Gravel said ""My libertarian views, as well as my strong stance against war, the military industrial complex and American imperialism, seem not to be tolerated by Democratic Party elites who are out of touch with the average American; elites that reject the empowerment of American citizens I offered to the Democratic Party at the beginning of this presidential campaign with the National Initiative for Democracy."

Fox News (fairly biased, as usual) failed to point that out in their story, but I think that the above quotation sums things up nicely.

But you have a valid point nonetheless. The Democratic Party has a real problem distancing itself from the fringe. I  will  go one step further and say that to this point  John McCain has done a better job of it. Mike Huckabee appeared with John McCain at an NRA rally and made a "joke" about someone shooting Barach Obama. Since that time I don't believe that McCain has appeared with once.

I was also very impressed that Sen. McCain had the moral fiber to call Pastor Hagee's anti-Semitic remarks "crazy and unacceptable." He went on to say "we’ve reached a point where that kind of statement simply, I would not, I would reject the endorsement of the expression of those kinds of views.”

As a mainstream Democrat, I appreciate that kind of integrity and I wish that Obama would learn from it.

Good points Larry, but the real issue is Obama is the fringe left.

That pretty much sums it up!

New term - and an interesting one. I agree.

Point taken. next time I will source CNN.

Considering Elizabeth Edwards is a regular contributor and member of the Democrat underground, I think the loons are now running the party.

The problem there is that I have found CNN to occasionally have too liberal leaning a view point. No matter what media source you use there is bound to be some amount of bias involved since we no longer have "independent journalism" we have "infotainment". Generally I find that I tend to read an article from CNN and then virtually the same one on Fox (as long as it isn't an AP article as those will be the same no matter who sources them) and attempt to weed out the bias from both sources to get the real story. It can be a pain in the rear, and we shouldn't have to do it that way, but it works.

I generally do as well, but I was short on time, so I only sourced the one and read the one. Still, while it is comforting to know that the loons have not taken complete control of the democrat party, it puts to rest the lie of where most of teh hate mongers are or are from.

Cultural suicide...sounds like a good term for the EU.

What happens when the birth rate is negative and the country is being flooded with quickly-reproducing immigrants who reject the native culture (Arab/Muslims in Britain, France, Denmark)?

In the terms of the great game, Sid Meier's Civilization, a cultural conversion!

Europe fails...

It is not unprecedented. Indeed, Cro Magnon kind of did it to the Neanderthals.

It has even happened to modern humans in Europe.  When the Roman empire needed troops and citizens didnt want to do the job, they hired whole tribes of people by allowing them to settle within the empire.  These tribes had no true loyalty to the poeple they were there to protect, one of these tribes were the Vandals in northern spain.

How many people want to invite a modern day vandal into their home?

Only seems that way--too many lawyers who'll take any case for fame and fortune. As long as Al-Arian is barred from teaching that's a plus.

It isn't; still, it is helpful to have a solid case against the thugs. Hundreds have been released from Q for lack of evidence.

No, but the arrogance of man is that he seems to think the earth was created for him, and does not exist without him. As they say, there is always a first time.
